Me?, I went to visit my brudder in Dexter Michigan. Just in case I saw Ren, I waved to every bicyclist I saw and yelled out "watch out for that Oompa-loompa behind you!" We grilled some awesome kebabs and italian sausages. On Sunday, we travelled to Pontiac Michigan for the "Arts, beats, and eats" festival. Sadly, it has diminished greatly in the "Arts" category. The "eats" part is getting way too expensive, and there was nothing in the "beats" category that held my interest. On Monday (today) we basically ate breakfast and started our way back. Stopped at some outlet mall in Michigan City Indiana (is there a Indiana City, Michigan?) where I almost had a melt-down at the Levis outlet, where one family had somehow tied up the register for at least 20 minutes, and the slacker with the dyed red hair sat with his finger up his hiney instead of opening up one of the other two registers in plain sight. I asked him if he could open one of them up and he replied that there was only one register. :grumpy: Whatta dork. Finally got back on the road and eventually encountered stop and go traffic on the sky-way going into Chicago. Made the bad mistake of trying to make my through the hood as a "short-cut". I think it probably took longer than if I had stuck it out with the 3 lanes into one situation I was faced with.
So, marginal weekend with screaming kids in the car for 7hrs 45 mins on what should have been a 4 hr drive was my basic description. (but, it was good to see my bro and his wife, and let my oldest terrorize him some).

What did you all do?

What forum are you in? Hmmmmm? This ain't W&C you know. Fix that for me will ya'. ;)

Got to play with mny 2 1/2 year old daughters. OK, I know you don't care. How about this- went to work for awhile. Still not good? Had a badass knife jones, called up a (relatively) local maker (Chuck Gedraitis) and asked him to meet me so I could get one of his customs--which I have been meaning to do--do now I am in knife-gloat heaven. :D

I can't believe these guys. You give 'em little pieces of paper, and they give you things that you will pass down to your descendents.............

My cousin and I helped an older gent to the top of Cloud's Rest in Yosemite. He's in good physical shape, but his kidneys aren't, and he really wanted to do this hike/camp. I carried his provisions, my cousin carried his dialysis equipment, and in spite of the effects of his condition, he carried himself right through.

Good weekend.

Nothing, nothing at all :D . . I shot some clays today after going to wally world for some deoderant and underwear.

I can hear it grow, see it grow, it's a passion. What is wrong with me?

I left Thursday from my drive way and bicycled for four days straight in the most beautiful weather to the Mackinac Bridge

During the four day ride We rode through the little towns of Perrington, Harrison, Shepherd, Alma, Topinabee, Waters and finally Mackinac City. At Three o clock on Sunday the Bridge authority lets us ride across the bridge in parade style. It is amazing to see over 400 bikes at one time riding the bridge.

It was a great time. Then My Dad met me on the way home and he grabbed muy bike and gear and took me to my family which was staying at their lake house. I did not do much on Monday..Just laid around and recovered...A great end to the summer.

Had great weather all weekend so we went kayacking on Sunday out on the Potomac river from Lander down to Nolands Ferry.

Monday we went for a ride on our Vespa's and covered about 120 miles of country roads. Karen rode her ET-4 and I had my PX150.

Wonderful weekend.

Best weather all summer! Cleaned up the yard nice and had cookouts Saturday and Sunday. Helped out a neighbor who just had back surgery by taking her daughter for the weekend and helped out a friend with a kidney stone by taking hers. The girls camped out in a tent by the lake in our back yard and we all cooked out and kicked back. Finally fired up my Mantis mini-tiller and was surprised by what it can do for such a little unit. Drank a bunch of beer, cut myself whittling and burned myself grilling. Weekends don't come much better than that!

All fixed Boss, I'll watch my P's and Q's here. :D

I spent the entire weekend, driving around in Michigan, looking for Ren so that I could run him off the road. Never found the Corky deanimator though. ;) :D

Sat we went to an annual End of Summer/Birthday party that my friend has every year. Sun we just stayed home played with our 3yr twin boys. Then on Mon afternoon we took them to an Observation Park at the airport to watch the planes come and go. They really seem to like that!!!!
I really hated to see the weekend end. :(

Friday my boss let me go home early. Donated blood on Sat. Went to see the Constant Gardener- depressing movie. BBQed with another couple and watched movies. And spent most of Mon. leaning against an icepack trying to figure out what I did to my shoulder. All in all, not a bad weekend.

Worked...

With natural gas prices as high as they are, drilling's not going to stop for anything, least of all a holiday.

What did you all do?

My inlaws live in Dexter, and that's where we were. Went to my wife's HS reunion in Riverview, MI. Also went to Zingerman's in Ann Arbor, the Blue Nile Ethiopian restaurant, and to the Zukey Lake Tavern west of Dexter.

Visited a friend at Edwards AFB and went to the Antelope Valley Fair. There next to the Big Horse/Little Horse and across from the loin girdding capering caprines with their alluringly plaintive bleats came the siren song of such bewitching sweetness I could no longer resist. Flesh yielded to the sensual and gustatory delights in a rush of cataclysmic ecstasy. I could hear my arteries slammin' shut with every tempting morsel but I couldn't stop until I had taken every inch of it in! Now alas, I am sullied...after all these years of saving myself, I am no longer a "Funnel Cake Virgin" :o

Damn but them are good!!!

My NASA buddy and I shot the shiite out of all the AOL CDs they had mailed him out in one of the desert canyons. (Bet the Post Office could save an extra 10,000,000 barrels of oil a year if they didn't have to transport AOL's mass propaganda mailings! :grumpy: ) Went four-wheelin' out in the desert fer a spell and came back in one piece so all-in-all a good weekend except......

I Need more Funnel Cake!!!

Saturday, went to Toronto and saw the International Air Show. First one I have ever been to, F16, C130, Starfighter, B52 and others and then to Toronto Skydome to see the Blue Jays get beaten by Tampa Bay.. .just. Ate at a Vietnamese restaurant, and then over the road to the pub about 10.00 for a few bevvies. Drove very carefully as the rear brakes sprung a leak on the way down!

Sunday sitting in the sun and BBQ steaks.

Monday, same as Sunday with BBQ Polish Sausage.

Tuesday car fixed!

Should have gone and supported the Toronto Blue Jays. They needed help losing in the last 5 minutes!

Hi Andrew-

Traveling to Canada would have been a considerable roadtrip just to spend the weekend!
