I like axes, hatchets, etc... I own a wetterlings (not sure of the model but it has about a 19" handle) and a gransfors small forest axe... love these babies, then I stumbled upon this....

At first glance I was like WOW but then I read the description and saw it was 440 stainless... wtf, $129 for a 440 axe... just wanted some feedback from the pros on here.

Depending on the heat treat I can see it for Moose skinning and joint work. Probably a decent craft/carving tool. I like the ulu grip the handle and head shape allows. Wonder what the Rockwell is at the edge? Your link leads me to the Canadian site I believe, the price is $149.00.

Regards

Robin

IT IS A : Firestone Belt Axe, made from powered 440 pressed and heated and melted all together. cute little things. I think there are some other hatchets out there I would like more.
