Is it possible to know for sure if the April 1 release of the production tweeners is still a go? I'm sure THEY know if it is a go or not. Or is that some super secret?

Didn't someone ask this question the other day?

Assuming that Kabar will be shipping on the 1st, remember that it will still take a few days for dealers to get the knives then possibly another few days to get inventory live and available to ship to us. I believe the role of thumb is 1 to 2 weeks from the time a maker ships to dealers for availability.

Ill take place for bladelite on this one "Every time somebody asks when their going to be released it gets delayed a week."

I know that you won't be able to order them the day of April 1st. I just wanted to know if there has been anything from Kabar reps that said, "Yep, these are good to go as planned." I've seen lots of talk about the estimated date, but nothing about whether or not anything is ready to go. I figure they would know 4 days out if they were ready or not.

Why don't you call KaBar directly and ask them?

Because they hate that.

So far as I know, we are on schedule. We won't know for sure until they hit the market, but so far, no mention of delays.

one day, we will all look back on this and shake our heads, a couple months from now everybody will have their tweeners and be chaffing at the bit for the next great unveiling. What is it gonna be? the brute? I really like that one!

Thanks Moose. Thats precisely why I didn't call them. Just trying to plan. Being laid off, my funds are a little more limited (luckily my wife is a 12-year teacher in a good district). Been spending a lot of money building up my outdoor kit and materials to experiment with. Got another week before I start getting paid. Been keeping some of the money I got when I was laid off aside for the BK16. Problem is, I'm a spender....
