Hi all. I finally got a chance to come visit. I also re registered and changed my alias to what I'm better known as.

Clay!! You still comming up for vacation? Let me know approximately when you'll be around. I got to read a few posts, looks real good here..
MIke T.. Strong rivets and big handles are a good thing, I hear bearings, bronze etc.. How bout "oilite" Its a composition looks like bronze and self lubricates. Of course it is another machining step but could be used exactly like a bushing in a nice folder. I have been messing with a bali but just don't have time now. I have a mill, (not a fancy cnc 4 axis either!!!) and have almost milled a bali. I'm over 3 months backlogged on custom work so it's up to you! I'll buy one.
Someone please let me know when the BM 42's are available as I can't frequent the forums as much as I would like. I did buy a couple balis from one of our forumites here and must say I am in love with one of them!! Well, still got my fingers and think I'll go flippin, and clickin of course. Oh!! Yes, transformers!! I am 45 but my nephew had some cool ones and I think you are on to something. Hope the originator of the bali doesn't go after mattel for copying. Hermitile

HERMIT........... Dude, where ya' been???

Looks like I'll be up the week of July 1-8. Thats what it's set for now anyway, though it could end up being the week following that one (8-15). I'll let ya' know when we're closer.

And it looks like I'll be bringing you some work too. A Sifu for some Cocobolo scales and a Perfecto De Leon Bali......... surprise me on that one.


So whats the Bali you got that you fell in love with??? C'mon, we need details.

Hey friends. Good catching up with you.. Clay either of those dates should be good, let me know when. Remember now, you gotta prime "me motor" with scotch to say yes to the sifu! Single malt!! Man, I gotta REKAT "Roundeye folder" that a friend wants me to spring and make sim tortoise scales. Nicest guy and I had to try it, the things I get myself into.. The Sifu was a monster to rescale but came out twice the knife it was.. Bob!!! Good deal man, see you both places now.. New bali I'm in love with?? A very nice Parker. It's locked securely away until I get back on Monday. Gotta go sell some knives. Got 29 Laguioles left and a few colts dual actions I put paua and ivory inlays in.. No haven't gotten to it yet. Jag first, 11 scratch built picklock for a customer then I can squeeze it in between 5 buck autos I have to put paua on, 2 more il monstros and close to 2 dozen stilettos for filing and scaling. Got some work cut out for me? Meantime I gotta fix the pipes that froze and and are leaking and spring clean up. Not to mention cooking, cleaning and the dog!! Hey Hermit you sound like a cool guy, sorry I dont know you like these other guys, I assume your a knife manufacturer? Sounds cool, what kind of a setup do you have for your retooling.
