Right on! Thanks! This just netted me a 4x6 bandsaw for $160 OTD on my lunch break :)

Remember -

- quality bimetal blades are a must (MSCdirect, McMaster, Enco). If you're cutting outlines on thinner stock, get 18tpi

- adjust the pulleys so that they're planar (there's a socket set screw)

- tension it to the highest tension possible with rag on the knob

- and my personal touch: use some tin to create a cover above vent
holes on top of the motor - to screen the debris so it doesnt end up
in the motot's windings

Smart choice !

Butch -

you won't be sorry.

Had mine for a few years, never regretted the decision I made.
Accuracy and power, versatility are simply remarkable for such
small package.

If you want to move it youself, it is bordeline weight-wise.
I can easily move it around on my work bench, but to lift
it on/off, detach the column/head assembly - there's big a$$
nut in the back, on the bottom. Be careful to support the column
as you loosen it.

For a while I was drooling over Square-column knock off of RF-45.
At $1200 it is very good deal and a monster of a mill ... no space for it in my garage.
