I have my Harbor Freight (HF) belt grinder set up to run on its back, belt up turning away. This setup works great for me and with a little attachment I made for it, I can put on a pretty flat bevel. The pictures pretty much tell the story. The attachment fits on the bottom of the platen and attaches magnetically. Easy on, easy off. Super magnets hold it on tight. I made this one with about a 15 degree bevel and you would need one for each angle you want to grind. Fast and Easy. IMG_0968.JPG

harivney,
I looked at that about a year ago. As I recall, the reason I didn't get that one was that you couldn't change belts quickly and it sharpened into the direction of travel on the belt. the one I made here sharpens with the direction of belt travel. I'd like to see one first hand, may still be a good gadget to have. I can't let my wife see this.... she thinks I have every sharpener under the sun... Jeff

Thank you for sharing. This seems like a great idea and nice tool to have. Does not look like it would cost too much either.

Check out the Bubble Jigs for this set up; one BJ and you can have any angle you want.
