If you are looking for a deal in a decent storage 'case' for your folders and fixed blades, try your local Harbor Freight. Their larger walnut-finished wooden 8 drawer chest, normally $99.99, is regularly on sale for $69.99. I've bought two for that less a 15% discount coupon in the past. My wife got them - for jewelry chests that fit her oak bookcases perfectly (They look more like oak than walnut!).
I finally got one for me today - at the HF 'sidewalk sale' (Goes through Sunday.) for $59.99. It will get the majority of my folders, SAKs, AOs, etc. As only two small drawers have dividers, I'll have to make more. The drawers and top bin are nicely lined with a deep green felt. There is a mirror inside the top, so you can see how big your grin is when you peruse your collection. My glass display case will be all fixed blades now.
Of course, what to put in the rest of the chest. Perhaps my flashlight collection. Still room... maybe my dryer lint collection for my fire starter? Still room. Some of you guys probably need several. Great way to bring your knife collection to the party to bore folks to tears. Great way for an interloper to walk off with your collection, too, I suppose... perhaps I should reevaluate this idea. I could always put my fine tools in it... leaving even more drawers for my complete lint collection.
