HG55 fitment in SpecOps Short Sheath?

Hey hogs, I just got ths HG55 in a trade from a fellow hog, and I have this spec ops short sheath I wanted to use for it, but it's obviously too big. I'd there a way to make it fit better? Any advice? I have not modded any if they spec ops before, it fits my TGLB perfectly because again obviously it's a bigger blade. Wish there was a way to make this fit like that..

Tape around the blade, boil the kydex, shape the kydex around the blade, and BAM--form-fitting kydex insert. Or you can sell the spec ops sheath and use the money to BuyBrown

Unscrew and remove the kydex liner, make your own kydex sheath using the specs of the original one, insert and fasten. Should be straight forward if you practise.

Azwelke has made me 4 kydex inserts to fit spec ops sheaths. They are all gReat!!!

Here is an example of a AZwelke insert in a Spec Ops Deluxe (short). Al must have the sheaths or he wouldn't be able to size them properly. This is for a Boss Jack LE. I also have this set-up for a DSSF.

I like the high quality of the Spec Ops sheath, but I dislike the plastic liner that it ships with. This insert has no rattle at all.

Also, it can be used on it's own as a sheath without the spec ops as it has rivet holes for a tek-lok.

Thanks BD, I'm ordering one for my TGLB
