I'm interested in picking up one of these two knives, and i'd like to find out what the differences are.

I'd like one in satin or DC finish. If you have any pics of them side by side that would be very helpful

Well, I like the Urban Grudge more than the HG-55 (though I've never had an Urban Grudge).

I did have an HG-55 Military Overrun though, and while nice it was a bit handle heavy if I remember correctly. This is ultimately why I am not a fan of the Corrugated Bevel Technology, as I feel that excessive weight should be removed from the handle rather than the blade.

I am not a fan at all of anything with a hollow grind like that which is featured on the HG-55(even if they are shallow-which in this case it is not), I much prefer the full flat grind on the Urban Grudge in this regard.

I also feel that the UG handle is a definite improvement over that of the HG-55. The jimping on the HG-55 is also unnecessary on a knife that is .25" thick, it's only really necessary on thinner stocked knives, IMO.

So, in my eyes the Urban Grudge is the most favorable choice of the two. The only problem is that they are damned hard to find on the secondary market, and usually will command a premium because of this.

You could also go the route of having an HG-55 modified to make it similar to the Urban Grudge. Here's one done by Avalanez here at BF if you haven't seen it yet.......

I found this on Jerzeedevil forum and thought i'd post it here just to add some visuals. I'm leaning toward the UG just because i like the profile a little more, but i have a feeling it's going to be nigh impossible to find a blue/black G10 satin one

The HG-55 was the first Busse that I owned and the knife that started the Busse "problem".

Even years later, I feel that it is one of the more versatile Busse blades ever made. It has a bit more of a bushcraft profile than the UG.

Urban Grudge +1. The handle feels GREAT.

Also, notice that on both knives the talon hole is "narrow" so you get your hand closer to the choil... a very nice design choice.
