After Xaman's GW mod, and River8's HH mod, figured I'd try my hand at modding my HH. The rear talon hole was causing me a blister while chopping, so I decided to take it off.

After 5 hours of grinding (didn't really want to let the metal get any hotter than I could touch) and an hour of polishing, here's my new and improved HH.

Balance is right at the rear of the choil.

Lancelot,

Nicely done  !!
So; how many grinding wheels did you go through  ?!!

I really REALLY like my new, improved (in my opinion) HH - it made a
great knife even better.

Looks good! Does it feel better now? Man, you polished that baby -- did you consider just polishing the whole spine?

Thanks guys.

Definitely turned my course wheel into a fine one  A great knife definitely got even better (more comfortable to use) for me:thumbup:

I thought about polishing the whole spine, but for the time being I'm gonna leave the coating on the spine to protect the metal from the retained moisture (read sweat) in the paracord wrap after use. Eventually I'll probably strip and polish her all the way up;)

I like it! I experienced the same while chopping with the HH. Do you think the same problem will occur with the FBM?

Yeah, I have the same problem with the FBM if I choke back on the handle like I do with the HH. Because of the FBM blade length, the FBM balance is such that I don't have to choke back as much to chop as well though.

Yep, that dang grinducci has got me wanting to grind on/polish all my blades...

Looks good man. I might have to try cordwrapping the handle like that as i have not tried it yet.

At first I was shocked......as long as it handles better for you....who cares what it looks like. Function over form anyday!
