Hey all, wanted to show off my collection of kukri's as well as show my newest ones, 2 Himalayan Imports 18" Ang Khola's with horn handles as well as my Kukrihouse and Atlanta Cutlery kukris. The Kukrihouse are 2 of the world war models with wooden handles and the Atlanta Cutlery are 2 of the Assam Rifles version with wooden handles all of the kukri's shown are sharp except the Atlanta Cutlery model, I have yet to sharpen that one.

Good pics. So, what do you think of the AK's? I like the KH WWII on the right. It seems like that one has more crook to the handle. The HI AK will blow the rest of those knives away.

I've seen an etch done on a Windlass/Atlanta Cutlery Khuk that showed a not too appealing hamon line. Basically the tip was all that was hardened. Have you ever etched a blade? Maybe Dave R. wouldn't mind posting some pics of that etch he did. I never heard whether he did any kinda edge testing on that knife either.

HI Andy, I've never done a etch on a blade before, the windlass/atlanta cutlery was my very first kukri as I never knew of HI back then so I wouldn't be surprised if its a piece of junk, i'm very happy with my purchase of the HI 18" AK's you can feel the difference in just holding them and see the quality.

I love things in pairs! Nice set of knives there eberge. Looks like you have made a great start. I really like the KH WWII on the right as well. Good pics also.

Thanks for sharing.

Norm

Hey don't get me wrong. I started my collection with khuks from India, then went to KH, and finally HI. As you say the difference was obvious.

Nice collection. Thanks for posting. Pics always appreciated.

Thanks everyone for the comments, I do like the "Ark" Collector that Jimmy said I think it suits me hehe it just feels wrong not to buy em in pairs :)
