I thought I'd tell you how pleased I am with the modified AK Bowie:
It is the easiest meat chopper of my cleavers. Just great.
If the AK Bowie's edge could be straightened and the swell and dip removed, I knew it would have more utility. I was less sure of it's beauty...but that's another matter. I have previously tested this on wood chopping and it does well- better than the original AK bowie. I can see a great TV ad where you chop all day and come into the cutting board and barbecue and section the meat too. There is a Chinese heavy cleaver for comparison, it weighs 30 ounces. Works well too, but HI's offering is better at meat. It weighs 32 ounces.
