Hello all,

I just received my new AK Bowie and it's an awesome monster of a knife! Does anyone out there know where I can get a kydex sheath for this monster?

I'm a leather guy myself, so I dunno who the "go to" is in regards to kydex for HI products. You might poke around in the craftsman part of the forums. There are several sheath makers who do pretty much everything.

If nothing else, maybe ask one of the custom knife makers for advice on who to send it to.
 
Awesome. Mine should be here today! Needless to say I'm not going anywhere until the mail runs! I'd like to see pics of yours to compare to mine when I get it. Maybee we'll just start an AK Bowie thread! I'll post pics as soon as I get it and wipe the drool off of the blade!

Mine arrived here safe and sound. One thing comes to mind while holding this beast : sharpened buldozer blade! The kami mark is what appears to be a bow and arrow, Bakta or something like that. I was going to keep this one pretty and shiny, but that is impossible now. My idiot self dropped it edge first onto concrete the first 5 minutes I had it in hand. No major damage. I already fixed it with a ceramic knife, now razor sharp. Better than dropping it on my foot I guess. I'm glad I got a wood handled one instead of horn. Uploading AK Bowie porn ASAP! BTW the balance on this thing is amazing. Grip high and it feels very nimble, grip low and look out! Oh yea Humandream: Keep a GOOD grip on that beast!

Thank you for the responses and suggestions. I plan on using the AK Bowie as my primary camping/wilderness knife and I honestly don't think the traditional leather sheath will hold up against mother nature. Plus, I really want to keep the leather sheath from HI pristine, because it's more of an art piece and part of my collection.

I actually ordered mine without the cho, so it's different from the other AK Bowies I've seen on youtube and the picture on the HI website.

Since I'm still fairly new to this forum and knife collecting, how can I post pictures of my new knife? I bought a few Busse's, Khukuris, Cold steels, etc. through this forum, but this monster AK Bowie is going to be my primary harduse wilderness knife. I'm thinking of ordering another one. Go figure. So any suggestions on how I can post pictures would help.

to post pics you need to be a paying member
or have a photo account with flicker or similar. post the link of the page where the photo is from "flicker" and it should show up here
