So this christmas I received a Spyderco Sharpmaker.
I just have to say... THE BEST sharpening system out there. I thought I was into my Lansky system... tonight I boxed that one up. That Sharpmaker has gotten every blade I have put on it hair popping sharp... not shaving... but POPPING!... literally put the steel on hair and it sheers away. I thought my blades were sharp before... HA!
I am carving swirls through paper with my thick RC3 RC4 and Izula. I even have an old Buck Prince that has been giving me sharpening headaches for years razor sharp now. My KOA Camp Knife is so sharp that I now know what "scary sharp" means... Thanks Sal... great product!
ok, enough of that... lets get to some steel.
I have 3 Spyderco blades. Delica, Endura and a Meerkat. Love em all and at one time or another, carried them for years. But all are either partially serrated or full serrated... so now I think I want... need... (whatever) a plain blade.
Im thinking a Meadowlark or Tenacious. I would like to keep the blade length right around 3 inches. And keeping $$ down is a good thing (event though I secretly covet a Sage).
Thoughts???
