In one of the recent threads YVSA and Sis brought up the HI Balance.

"Dave the 3rd and 4th ones down in the right side pic in the link below shows 2 H.I.Balance Models. They're about the same size as Sis's. "

I am curious as to what everyone thinks of this lil kuk.
For some reason it caught my attention and got my HIKV going.

Uncle, how much for one of these 'Balances'.

Dave the little balance models are just little khukuris and can do everything little khukuris can do.
They're not a fantastic chopper but with a little work the will take a fair sized piece of hardwood branch or sapling, couple of inches or so in diameter.
They really shine as a self defense khuk or part of an extended self defense system.
Talk about a deep back cut!!!!

And they make great conversation pieces as everyone thinks it's really cool that they can balance not just long ways, but from side to side as well.
I didn't plan my hammer dingy modified Chainpuri khukuri to be a balance model, but sort of had a feeling it would be due to the full curve it has.

There's definitely a lot of work in one of these little knives. And I understand that there were some fairly good sized models made as well. They were running around the 15" to 18" length. Definitely not something one would balance on a finger. :p  :D

I absolutely love my little HI balance... I've handled some of the knives Terry has either had or worked on and alot of them just dont fit in my hands... the handles are too big for me to grip properly... definitely a good knife for smaller hands.

Uncle,
Do you have any of these 'balances' just laying around? I am getting a tingle in my neck, it may be HIKV telling me something...or is that just a nerve pinch...
