i was given it a few years ago, but can't remember any of it's details.

It is a genuine Gerber knife, bought in the USA.

it's only markings are:
GERBER U.S.A. and stainless on the handles.

the tools in the multitool handles are as follows:
1 knife blade (half of it is serrated) (and has stamped GERBER USA).
1 philips(cross) head screwdriver.
1 tin opener
1 lanyard holder

on the other half....
1 long file fine(metal) one side medium the other.
1 awl (sharpened enough to cut with!)
1 flat head screwdriver/bottle opener.
1 larger flat head screwdriver

the pliers are needle nose

i love it i have no complaints i would just like to know it's real name (or number) so i can replace it if one day i have to!

cheers
Richard.

I'm no expert, but it's obviously a Gerber Tool of some sort. I know someone here can ID the exact model.
Is that part of some type of wilderness survival kit you have pictured?

no, the rest of the kit shown is not related to the multi tool, it is other kit i have collected seperately.

people that have seen it say it's odd as it has no saw blade!

aparently the next model up had a replaceable saw blade.. i don't know that for sure though
cheers for answering

I can't be certain, but it looks real close to the Sportsman model. I had one a few years ago and if I remember correctly, it was missing the saw blade and scissors but had all the other normal goodies.
