I just came across a hardware store in my area that has pre ban 9mm Hi-Caps for Glocks. The mags are made by Triple K and are the blued steel, not polymer. They want $35 for for the 30 round mag and $22 for the 17 round mag. How good of a deal is this? How much would these mags normally go for today?

Run away! Run away!

Seriously, use them only for practice and do not use them for carry. There are reports from some folks that have had good luck with them, but they are few and far between.

Stay safe,

You might have some luck with them if you replace the springs and followers with Glock OEM parts.
I remember hearing that the steel magazines would accelerate wear on the Glock polymer magazine release. I would not know if this is true since I only use Glock mags.

Well, I've seen ones for Berettas before, and those usually go for at LEAST $100 and up.

I'm not familiar with those manufacturers you named, but for those prices, it seems like a STEAL!

I'd say, get a few, put several hundred rounds through 'em, and see how they do.

You can NOT beat that price, from what I've seen on hi-cap mags!!!

Did they have any for a Beretta 96??? Buy me some!!!

drjones-

You've been looking in the wrong place--for 92-magazines anyways. Even for a 96, they shouldn't be that much.

Try CDNN Investments, Inc. in Texas for all your magazine needs. Great prices, though you have to order enough to offset the fixed $8.00 s&h fee.

They've got factory-new OEM 92 mags for $59.99, and surplus Asian military ones for $19.99.

For the G17, they've got the NDF Demo's for between $69-79.

Check'em out.

Thanks, guncollector!

Hey...do you know if they even make hi-caps for the 96? Being that its .40 cal, I'm not sure if they really could sqeeze more rounds in there.

And I DON'T want those ugly mags that stick way out and hold like 30 rounds!

I dont care what anybody says, you are harming your PLASTIC mag catch if you use a metal mag in your Glock. Your Glock is designed for a polymer mag, when metal and plastic fight, metal always wins, and your mag catch loses, and, you can find aftermarket polymer mags for Glocks in that price range anyway, probably more reliable as well. So, dont do it, especially when you can get factory mags for about $65-$75. Its true, that if youre familiar with glocks, the mag catch bar is replacable for about $10, still, dont do it, youll always be wondering if youre harming your gun, and you will be, at least to some degree.

I bought em anyway. I don't own a Glock, but I'll be going to a gun show this weekend and I'll try to sell them or trade them off.

Matt,

Have a good time at the gun show, but don't expect to get too much more for the mags than you paid for 'em, since they don't say "Glock" on 'em. And DON'T sell 'em to the 1st offer unless it's a darn good one. Alot of times folks will walk up to you if they see magazines in your hand and ask you what you want for 'em, so have a good idea ahead of time what you want for your mags. Also, look around, and get an idea what those type of mags are selling at at THAT gun show. Prices can vary quite a bit.

No prob Dann. Hustling is nothing new to me:D
