Greetings fellow forumites- I just received my Bash cutter from the 10/4 DOTD. Unfortunately, their was an issue with the knife that I will not go into detail about here. I e-mailed Ms. Yangdu and explained the situation to her. She responded within several minutes and offered to remedy the problem in full and without hesitation. I have never seen customer service of this caliber anywhere, ever. I am stunned by the kindness and promptness of Ms. Yangdu in dealing with this matter. Not only do they provide the most incredible knives, but they stand behind the product like no other concern you will encounter. They have my unreserved, 100% recommendation as a supplier of the finest hard use blades available.

Not surprising to most of the forumites here who are loyal devotee's of Ms. Yangdu and HI.

No higher ethics or better business practice anywhere these days.

Not enough words in the dictionary to sing her praises. She's good, real good.

I do find myself curious what the issue was but I'll not pursue it.

Not only are the knives amazing quality for hand made products that come from half way around the world, the customer service from auntie is second to none! I think that's half the reason we collect these khuks and are a tight community. I'll tell ya, I don't even get this kind of service from my local pub, and I live next door to the bartender!

I am glad to see you happy over an issue. Mrs. Martino will bend over backwards to help you. She's a jewel among business ladies.

Absolutely agree.

Bawanna-The reason I didn't go into detail was because were someone else to have an issue, I didn't want them to expect identical handling of the problem. Each situation is unique, and without speaking to Ms. Yangdu about it in advance and seeking permission to post the details, I thought it best not to.

excellent foresight for doing what is best in HI's interest.

Understood although Auntie seems to take real good care of everyone. You did the right thing though.

Be patient,

I have NO complaint until now. All of items are good quality and hand pick up by Auntie, what we have to do is to make it better than out of factory.

Well done Brother! Thats just simple respect for a persons business in general! Thats why most companies have customer service areas completely separate from their store registers. Its best to sort things out via email or phone and leave the good stuff for the sales floor (forum). Thats just best for HI.

Arbiter, Thank you for posting about your experience with Auntie's customer service. Many of us here are familiar with Auntie's exceptional version of that, But it is always good to hear from others because it keeps the knowledge fresh in the forums. Many new folks seem to lurk here a bit before buying a HI blade and seeing posts by folks who have experienced it assures them of the truth of how Auntie cares for the reputation and customers of HI. I am glad you are happy with the resolution she provided to your issue and if you have spent any time here you know the next request has to be that once your situtation is resolved you NEED to post pictures of your HI Purchase :D Let us all see what you got, preferrably action shots of great chunks of wood being chopped ;)

Thanks Shavru-Ms. Yangdus concern for her customers exceeds that of any product/service provider I have had the experience to do business with. My purchase was a Keshar Lal bone/bamboo cutter from 10/4. Actually, I have been a customer of HI going back to 2011, and my collection stands at 27ish, (I need to do a count..). As for the pics, I am not a tech kind of guy, so until I learn how to do such things, I can't post pics. Sorry guys.

Ah, beautiful blade to add to your considerable collection then. Congrats on the successful sharking! There are any number of folks here who have been able to teach the art of picture posting in the past. I am sure one of them will come along soon to offer assistance.
