Hello, I've lurked here for a while, but have never had anything to contribute. I'm a modern folder kind of guy, but I'm hoping to get into traditional blades as well. I've had some cheaper traditionals and I have quite a few Victorinoxs and a couple of Opinels, and I currently carry this GEC Tidioute 15 modded into a sheepsfoot. I hope I can learn a lot here and I hope I don't sound like an idiot very often either!

A lot of the folk around here still have or do have a soft spot for some moderns, I still do as well, but in saying that have not carried one for some time, but I can tell you that you chose the Traditional knife well, the 15 is an extremely popular knife, and theres certainly nothing wrong with the Vics or the Opinel!

As for making an idiot of yourself- ...well my friend, I have set the standard for that one so you can rest easy on that one!

Welcome! I have a few moderns (Inkosi, Lionsteel TRE etc) but traditionals still my favs.

I've only been here 5 months or so and I've learned a ton about Slip Joints as well as great information on knife collecting in general. The Porch is a Great place full of great people welcome Jday:D
