My online name is pogo and this is one great Forum..! I am real glad to be a new poster here.! If I can help or give advice I will do so but, please remember that I do not know it all. There are quite a few others here more knowlegable than I am. I am glad to be here.! :)

Hellooooooo Pogoooooooo. Welcome aboard. What kind of knife is in your pocket right now?

heh, heh, It is a Spyderco Ladybug. I made the mistake & forgot I had it in my pocket when I went to court..heh,heh. The Cop told me to lock it up in my car which I did. It was like I took a Battle Blade in there. I also carry Opinels & a few others when out of the big/small city. I favor Frosts of Sweden & Erikssons when out in the Country away from all the knife laws. I really do not favor one brand over another but, if it does not cut good I reject it & move on to something that does. :)

yep.. Thanks..! The Ladybug is so small & light that you dont know its in the pocket. It is a great little knife, very handy.! I only wish they made em in VG10 or S30V.. I am not however, a great Spyderco fan as I have some of their older models that cannot cut weed whacker plastic line without numerous tries. The Opinel slices right through this plastic line but, only with a working edge. The Opinel with the hair shaving edge only dances on it along with the Buck 110. I think Cliff Stamp could give a better explanation than I can as to how this is so. I am in a constant learning mode. :)

Thanks..! I will only try to give my honest opinion as to what works for me & what does not work as far as cutting ability goes. There are others posting here that know a lot more than me & my hat goes off to them. Ballcap that is.! :)

Check out the Spyderco forum in the Manufacturers forums, maybe you can get your old Spydies sharpened. If not, send them to me, for "safekeeping" ;) :) .
