Oh no, no, no. They are not in Cape Cod, they are down the Cape.
I was on storm restoration last year on the east coast when Sandy hit and while restoring power to a neighborhood in Needham, Ma, a resident informed me that that's what people from Mass. say. She was funny. She also corrected my Chicago accent. It's not "Cod", it's "Cawd".
Hilarious, don't know how I missed this the other day mate! Will be showing this post to relatives when we next visit, they will be rolling around!
KrisOK, I just did a quick google and it seems there are very few places left that I could still EDC a balisong. Real shame and rather silly when you think about it but never mind.
Brisket, really glad you like them too. I have to take a minute when getting ready to decide what type of day it will be, one of the S30V UKPKs, Terzuola Slipit or is it an Urban Slipit kind of day. How you guys choose between the choice of lockers I will never know!
Full credit and respect to Spyderco for never leaving anyone out. The UKPK, the Pingo, Whale Rescue, commemorative knives, charity contributions for pink squeaks etc, etc.
Hi Sal, really can't thank you and everyone who works for you enough for the effort you put into your work. I know you do it because you love it, I know you do it because it is a business that supports many people but you also do so much that you don't have to and a lot of us really appreciate that and realise Spyderco isn't 'just another knife company'.
Time for the shameless begging though, lol.
England is a tiny island surrounded by salt water, can we have a H1 Slipit at some point in the future please?
Also, a Damasteel one? Can't think of a good reason for this and I know they would be a long way off but if you want to see a grown man cry with joy, that's the way to go, lol.
(If this next part is not allowed apologies and mods feel free to delete it).
Last thing, I'd like to (while I have the soapbox) mention 2 shops in Europe. I have no affiliation to either just thought Sal would like some feedback and collectors who may be in Europe on holiday might want to check them out. Plus I believe in giving credit where it is due.
The first is in the UK called Heinnie Haynes. Always my first port of call, flawless service and a great bunch of guys. The majority of my Spydies are from them.
The second is The Old Man Shop in Amsterdam. I have friends that live in the city and I visit most years. I pop into the shop at least once a visit, best to avoid weekends as they get pretty busy. I usually let them know that I am on a tight budget and couldn't afford a purchase but the young guys who are running it now are always happy to chat Spyderco and get models out for you.
Right, we have glorious sunshine here for a change, enough of my talking, I'm off out.
Have a good day everyone!
