Hi Folks,
I'm new here but not new in this game.
My name is Alan Wood and have been full time knifemaker since 1985. I'm based in northern England near Hadrian's Wall and am probably best known as being the originator of the Ray Mears Woodlore bushcraft knives but my interest started with hunting. I found a copy of Sid Latham's Knives and Knifemakers book in my local library when I was about 11 and it spurred on my interest.
I only stock-remove and concentrate of practical working designs. I much prefer simplicity to ornateness although I've done some fancy ones.
Anyway, here are a few:
Small ones.
Bush-crafters.
Medium Hunters.
More deer knives.
Big-guns.
Odd ones.
M.A.K. (My Adventure Knife). 5" blade.
I look forward to delving into this vast archive and talking to you all.
Best Regards,
Alan.
