Hi Goose! Buck 110 Ionfusion/Buckcote EDC...

...Neat lookin' knife there Jim...I've always been turned off by the BuckCote as I figured I'd never be able to get used to the knife pulling to the right while I was slicing down or through something. Any merit to my fear about the "pulling" effect???

Shaprening only on one side.
That's what I need Jim. One less side for me to screw up!!!
I like that. Very cool.
Have ya been actually using it? How's it cut? Retain an edge well?

Its actually is easier for me with the lansky sharpener, I dont have to worry about sharpening the bevel too far to one side or not :D
Yes for what I have cut with it it really seems to hold the edge quite well.
I haven't sharpened it with the very fine stone though doesn't seem to help the edge out much...
Check your PM's Goose :D (please)
And Email :D

Cool report. Interesting about the fine stone. Somewhere here I read recently about stopping at medium for retention.

I read my PM and e-mail. Check your e-mail. Ah sheet, I'll tell ya here too...I am not going to sell off my Cabbage Patch doll collection yet Jim When I do, you will be amongst the first to know :D

You know, Wal-Mart sends Haebbie $.10 for every towel they sell now...

This idea is not so bad but it's posiible also that they give me some Buck knifes, coustoms prefered :D :)

LOL He's gonna get rich!
Next time I have to try a different color...

I like to become rich very much. Please don't change the color. :)

Nice knife, the Buckcote 110, Jim. My two cents to the one side edge: Mostly it makes no odds. The blade only pulled to one side, when I cut crust bread (bread with a hard crust?) with my Buckcote 119.

Best regards,
Haebbie

My "Playboy" magazine hasn't arrived in the mail yet...
Anyone got a pic of jigged water buff with pins?

Very nice looking buckcote water buffalo 110,as a user how was the waterbuffalo in terms of grip and durabilty,I would like a 110 wb but was always scared of it for a user knife.thanks.

... it has been sent to a fellow buckaholic who has been looking for a nice buckcote 110 user also!!
Hopefully he will add his commentary on how he likes it! Hopefully he will like sharpening the one side also!...

Yep...it's too cool for school.

I like the jiggy buff on it. Trying to figrue out why the dude did the angles of the cuts towards the front on one side and towards the rear on the other.
Don't know if that is the norm as it is my first jiggy buff or jiggy anything. And it doesn't matter cause it fits the mitt good. Just a curious point I ponder.

As for the topic...this is a great knife and I am going to use it for at least a week and report back. Will see if I can get it as sharp as Jim did.

For a guy that prefers NS bolsters. I gotta say the is looks great with Brass.

It's flat out awesome.

Thank you Jim...

I would be interested in Joe Houser's comments on this...like you, it doesn't really bother me either, I'm just naturally curious... :)

(Maybe the automated jigging fixture they clamp the scales in is angled; and they just feed in scales in one end and jigged scales pop out the other end...all jigged the same)

Here's two pics to show the direction of the jig angles:
