Hey everyone!

I'm new here and I didn't know where to do an intro or if it was something that would be necessary here.

Anyway; I've had an obsession with knives since I can remember. I'm trying to make my collection smaller because like my name; my wife thinks I'm crazy. :D Anyway, I really don't know much about knives, different kinds of blade steels, or any thing fancy like that, but I can sharpen a knife to shave my face, and I can throw most anything.

I'm hoping to learn some more about knife steels, and anything else that I can.

Yeah, if you are comin here thinking that you are going to wind up with less knives, you've got another think coming.

Thanks for the welcome guys! I know it's gonna be tough but I think I'll manage hahaha. I've been really good about getting more, but who knows. If I see a good deal out there.....I might just have to. But in all actuality I really want only two knives in particular; an Izula and a Tracker. I'd sell or trade off all my knives for those.

I just bought a Becker BK 14 Eskabar. HAHAHAHAHA

I'm gonna be in trouble.

I tried.......I really did, but it was just to great to pass up. $36, but who wouldn't right?

I too had always loved knives but didn't know too much about the steels, blade shapes, grinds,etc...when I joined. I've only been a member for a couple months but it has really been a learning experience! And if you are hoping to stay away from expensive knives you should step away from the computer ;P I didn't own a knife over 50 bucks when I joined and let's just say I kind of spend a good chunk of my money on steel every month...

And p.s. You should try a spydero manix 2 and check out ESEE, they make some really great stuff!

I came here a number of years ago just to ask one question about buying one knife, and look what happened!


Oh - and my wife is constantly looking at the QVC website, so she can't say anything about me hanging around here!
