hi all, im new to forging but have a background in steel works. i have just taken over my dads old workshop as he sadly passed away with nearly 50 years as a forgemaster.
i have a few questions, what flux i need for damascus(i wanna go straight in). where to source steel as in high carbon. i do have some leaf spring from a old lorry though. thanks in advance les.

Welcome! I am sorry to hear about your dad. You might have better luck posting this in the maker section for the flux question, I have done very little with flux but used borax when I did.
