Hello everyone, I am 23 years old female and have had an urge to buy myself a new knife recently. As I live on a farm and watch my father continuously use his blade to open pine straw bails and such. Anyway I want to spend around 150.00 as It can't be too expensive and I want it to be a folding knife as well. The handle should be pink, and the blade around 3" as my dad says that is about the right size for a farmers folding knife. I will also be looking for a fixed blade soon after christmas, if I am happy with my folder choice. So if anyone has any ideas, knows of any sites,or any other pertinet information please share your knowledge, thank you again. Alice.

Most Spydercos are nice as well. I would personally go for a Endura 4, very nice knife for around $50. If you really want to spend that $150 I would look for a Spyderco Manix (built like a rock..) or a Benchmade Rukus (very nice). I hope you find somthing you like, nothing I named has a pink handle but im sure you will get over it, functionality over beauty for sure but its all personal prefference.

If you're willing to wait, a "reliable" source has indicated that there will be an upcoming limited (500 piece) run of pink Sypderco Delicas. It seems like this would be an ideal choice for you.

I've seen a few pink Kershaw scallions on e-bay. The blades are shorter than 3 inches, but they are nice little knives. A lot cheaper too.. If I remember right these were around 40.00.

Oh man, I really hope that is true because I really want one.

I concur. I would think a pink Delica 4 would meet her needs perfectly.

The knifecenter also carries Benchmade mini griptillians in green, blue, yellow, and maybe purple handles...alas, not in pink.

However, it is a premium blade for the money with a comfortable slender handle that is worth way over the actual cost in my opinion...yes I have one in black.

Zealot, Is there something wrong with my thread? Is this an anappropriate place to ask such a question? or has this question been beaten into the ground. I'm new here and am still trying to figure out the rules/ethics of posting here. Please advise if you sarcasm was generated by me . So I can correct it as soon as possible. Alice. Thank you all very much the 500 delica run sounds interesting to me.

alice, one more thing about the delica. my brother is a spyderco junkie, he swears by them, and doing a job where he uses one every day, and his life depends on his knife sometimes, that is a huge endorsement. where are you from? if you're in a colder area, the hole on the spyderco allows a better purchase with thick gloves. he liked the grip, the hole didn't suit him though. just a suggestion, handle both to see which is more comfortable for you. good luck

No, and no. LOL - as soon as I read zealot's response I knew what he was referring to. ;) By the time this thread reaches 190 Replies and 3,000 Views, you'll probably figure it out for yourself. ;)

If you're not in a rush, I'd wait for that pink Delica. Can't go wrong with a Spyderco and pink handles are rare. (Unless you let Santa Fe Stone Works do a number on a knife with, say, coral?)

Welcome to the forums! :)

Don't they have pink Benchmade Mini Griptilians? There's also the Kershaw Rainbow Leeks and for something smaller, there's a pink Spyderco Jester.
