I got this sword from forum member Matt B, after some swapping back and forth. It is a great blade and I intended to keep it as a companion to my other HI Kat, which is heavier and has a different curve. Unfortunatly, the economic crunch has has crunched me, and I have to sell this weapon. This is a fine sword, by Durba,( flag is his mark, right?)the handle has dragons carved in the horn, and is one of the best looking I have seen anywhere. The blade has an excellent balance and is very quick in the hand. It has the plain leather scabbard. I am asking just what I paid $300, and I'll pay the shipping. My email is taowarrior@iwon.com.

Jack,

All I can do is wimper... the economic crunch has crunched me too. It sounds like a great Kat.. and a Durba to boot :)

Maybe the esteemed <cough> "Researcher" will take it off of your hands. I hear he's fond of Durbas :D

Some guy emailed me not long ago looking for such a katana and I didn't have one but I can't remember who it was. Maybe he'll be around.

I Spent Over $500.00 on the trip to the Convention! Now I'm worried how I'm going to make the car and house payments!!! Sorry but I have to put my knife buying habbits on hold for a little while!:(

We are trying to get one together in Reno next year complete with a couple of Nepali singers and dancers, a couple of kamis, and Nepali food. It's a major effort, expensive but we'll see what we can come up with.

We are working on it. The major problem will be getting visas for the Nepalis and trying to figure out a way to pay transportation costs.

Uncle, why don't we start a Convention fund? I wouldn't mind pitching in some money.

Not yet. Let's see what we can work out on our own first. We can't do anything until we get the visas fixed and that is going to take some real doing.
