As y'all know, I'm going into the Army next month. Consequently, I'm getting rid of a lot of things. I have two swords, one of which is a gift, so I can't get rid of it.

The other sword is the HI wooden handled katana shown here:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=158025

I have only had this out of its scabbard maybe three times (I've been busy!), and I haven't cut anything with it. I would like to get $175 for it, shipped. Alternatively, I would be happy to take a new or lightly used 17-18" GRS* and $10 for shipping. I think this is pretty fair for a new sword with the unique spirit these HI katanas have.

Thanks in advance,

John (Paypal to: JohnShirley@hotmail.com )

*My thinking being, it'll be a lot easier to find a way to bring a knife than a sword!

THAT was tempting, but the handle will be too thick for my li'l ole hands, and I'm no woodchuck! :)

There was a guy over on swordforum asking about people's opinion on the Everest Katana; he seemed rather interested, you might put it up on the Sword Forum classifieds.

Unless that guy's already talked to Uncle Bill.

I'm sold out of katanas. Last one went to CA this week. But, I hear more are in the air. We keep our heads above water about nose level.

Uncle,

I hope more of the horn handled versions are coming... or even a wood handled done in the same design! Split handle with the silver ring in the middle... nice curve in the blade.... AHHhhh! :D

Not that I could afford one right now... but I could dream a little dream :D.

I'd help you out Specter but I need something more traditional for my class, and I am broke. It takes more than a month to save up $175 now days. :)
