Sounds like you are getting a wonderful sword soon then. I keep meaning to pick up something with all the decorative carvings and/or the special scabbards, but so far I seem to have wandered down another path.

As for the other 38 HI blades...you never know when you might need to equip an army for the zombies. :D

im surprised it still here (it made it past 1min... i am in disbelief) for $235 thats a steal!
i guess everyone is out friday night orrrrrr... playing the new playstation3 or camping out in line for one :D

you know you want it skyler... :)

Oh I know I want it...it's just that I want to eat for the next few months more. I know, strange as it is, that I would want food for a few measly months then a sword that will last a life time. Perhaps it's the starvation that's making me delirious.

you do know that symptoms for dehydration are similar to hunger...
maybe youre just thirsty... THIRSTY FOR MORE KHUKURIS!!!

lol... better stop derailing, CONGRATS to who snags the katana!!! youre lucky i was no longer in the market for one :D

these katana would be perfect if we could get the kamis to understand that the handle is supposed to curve like the blade.
the entire sword should be one smooth curve.

I recently received the katana that was offered last Sunday. It is very similar except it has the ornate horn scabbard with silver/nickel decorations and the dragon carved handle is horn instead of wood. These swords are well built and feel incredibly capable. The carved handle with the palm swell in the middle makes for a very secure grip. And I really appreciate the chiruwa style handle on larger blades. You can really tell you have a fine piece of steel in your hands with one of these.
Someone will grab this one fast.

Email sent on the Katana. Of course, I have no idea yet if I got there first.

Regards,
Bill

Yes! I got it.

I was drawn to it because the blade is curved. (I have another one but the blade on that one is perfectly straight.) While I agree with Danny that the Katana would be better if the handle were also curved, I couldn't resist buying this one. It's much more traditional than the one I bought two or three years ago.

Regards,
Bill

Wow. Nice sword. The handle carving looks almost identicle to my long handled tibetan sword. Whoever gets it let me know if the guard iis carved with dragons as well.
