Love this little guy. The finish is a little(lot) messed up from my attempt at satinizing it, but it feels good in the hand and the false edge is actually sharp. The sheath however leaves a lot to be desired.

PS, yes I was bored and lazy. Just used the overhead lights instead of using natural or breaking out the studio lights.

Well someone is on a photo posting frenzy. :D

The kerambit looks like it means business and is ready for some hard work thrown its way.

Nice photos as normal.

lol ted... youre on a roll tonight posting beautiful pics
what did you use to work on the satin finish?

I have a big selection of sandpaper sponges. I use the coarse ones to start and move up to fine. Normally, this works great, however, the kerambit seems to refuse to acknowledge the finer grit sandpaper. Very frustrating, also I'm having a heck of a time sharpening it, but I guess that means it was hardened for sure.:D

Nice K-bit bro...Mine was so dull when I got it that it glanced off of warm butter!!!

Steve fixed that for me!! :)

I like wet-or-dry silicon carbide sandpaper. You can lubricate it with ammonia based window cleaner to prevent buildup. The cheap stuff works great. Or scotchbrite pads. They work great too.

If you need it sharpened, I'd be glad to help. Just email me.

Steve

Jstrider,
That is a sweet tutorial isnt it?? If ya have any questions that I can answer lemme know...I changed the belt loop a little to simplify it slightly but other than that (and the tooling) my Kerambit design is almost a duplicate of Dan's...Wanna quess which tutorial I was looking at???
