Hello all,

I am a woodcarver/whittler and am contemplating the purchase of a Boker Whittler.

I find scant information about the knife in my searches.

It is shown as carbon steel and I would like to know what variety. 1095? O-1,? Hardness of treatment?

Is the knife made in Germany or Argentina?

Does anyone have any experience with this knife that they can pass on to me.

I have some older models (United Boker) that I've been pleased with and would like to know how the current production models compare with the old.

Thanks in advance,

Thomas Zinn

Welcome to the forum.
The steel used is 1095,and the hardness is hrc 59.
Right now,the stock we have is from Germany, and I think they will
be made there for the next run, also, but not clear after that
