I must admit that feel kind of guilty because I hunt the HI Forum like a hungry shark.... circling, circling until a DOTD pokes its little head up. Then I dart in and snarf it up. But the hunger remains, and the circling begins anew.

Maybe somebody else wanted that particular DOTD.... but never got a chance. I durn near have one of each - time to give others a crack at it. Can I resist a great deal, even if I have no earthly use for another of the same model I already have? I think so. But what about an everest katana blem, or a weekend project tarwar? A YBB Tibetan sword? I wouldn't trust me then, and I am me.
 
But Ya know... Us Sharks DO have a Modicum of ... well a wee bit of... well.. we Try to be civil!!

With time it will get less painful to ignore the DOTD but the excitement of seeing the new listings will remain strong. :D

If he tried that here, he'd lose a leg. Prolly both, I imagine.
Kinda tough wheeling around with the Bobsy Twins after that.
