Anyone ever see this one? It's pretty unique looking. It's being marketed as an HI sword by Bura. Markings look correct, just never heard or seen one of these from HI.

Here's the description from site:

Nepalese executioner's sword (with plush-lined hard case). Late 20th century. Made by Himalayan Imports shop foreman Lal Bahadur Bishwakarma (aka "Bura" - "Old Man"), known as the "Royal Kami". Brass handle, heavy down-curving blade. Some minor stains to the mirror polish of the blade, but it's still a very impressive weapon. Custom made, one of a kind. If you've always wanted a Nepalese executioner's sword, this is it!

Dang sweet stuff. On the edge of my seat to hear what Yangdu has to say about it.

which side is the edge on? ;)

The same place has a very nice Bura made hanshee if anyone is interested. If I remember its a good sized one, like 36 or 37 oz.

hmmm....not an active link, giving credit to the owner of the image.

nope...too lazy too.

Thanks Skyler! It's 36 oz. and 20", which is larger than any I have seen in my limited time here. Bura has made several "forward curving" hanshees in the last year or so I guess, but they all topped out at about 17.5" OAL and just 20-21 oz..

Without the scrolled buttcap I guess this is Shop 2? or just old Birghorka? I don't know enough to tell the difference. Nice handle about 6" long and a standard bolster.

No problem Norm. I was originally going to keep them secret in the hopes of getting both. But my tastes have changed a bit since I first saw them (I will probably regret it in a few months  ). Just guessing, but it looks to me to be a fairly early Shop 2 one.

Right now I am really digging a hasiya. Maybe Yangdu will get some in next shipment.
