Hello,hows things? Ive come here for many reasons,but my big dilemma now is this.i neef to have some big o1 knives and 5160 swords heat treated.im having no luck finding someone to do this.any help would be hugely appreciated.im just not set up fir big blades,and really dont plan on doing them all the time.so its seems logical to send em out.thanx!
 
Hi right back atcha, new guy. I'm new here too, but I've already been here long enough to tell you that there are some really fine folks here.

Sorry, but I can't help you out on your heat treating problems. I'm sure there is someone here who can point you in the right direction, though.
 
Letting people know how big the sword is will help. You may have to have someone do it in a salt pot, but the temper might be an issue if they don't have a low temp salt pot also. I recommend salt pots because they are more common for sword makers due to more even heat control, and easier to build in the dimensions suitable for swords.

another good bit of information is your location, there may be some options close by that you will not even have to ship them... Welcome to BF
