would be great. TIA

The only one I have in front of me right now is a throwing knife. It is stamped EK Korea World War II Vietnam Commando 1941 and has two crossed knives in the center of the stamp or engraving which ever it is. The handle is wrapped in green string. It doesn't look very expensive, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

Thanks
Dan

I have a similar knife, the Ek Bowie from Effingham, Illinois. It retailed for $90 in 1990; I paid $30. Your's would have been slightly less expensive at the time. But now the Ek name has been sold, the Effingham company is out of business, and the new Ek knives are made by someone else.

As far as the value, I have a guess based on recently-seen Ek knives at online retailers and eBay sales. My guess, a rough estimate would be $70 - $150 assuming it's in new condition in the box. If I find a link to one of the online dealers with a similar knife in stock, I'll post back.

By the way, the "green string" is officially marketed as "para-cord" and it's a very durable and practical handle material.

Best Wishes,
Bob
