I live about 1 mile from Benchmade, and withing 10 miles or less of Kershaw, Gerber, Leatherman, William Henry, CRKT, Lone Wolf, Al Mar etc etc etc. My knife of choice has always been a rugged Benchmade, Al Mar WH, or an older Gerber or Kershaw. Plus I've alway had a lot of pride in Oregon knife brands. I know a great deal about quality, fit and finish etc.
I was recently hunting for knives and stumbled upon a CR Lg. Micarta Sebenza... and congratulations are in order for Chris Reeve Knives. I have NEVER held a better, tougher knife of exceptional quality and performance before in the entire time of my interest.
That should say it all... it's my new right hand man, and I don't care where it was made... although Boise Idaho is real close to Oregon
