HI on ebay?

That's a Shop 1 khuk but it doesn't have an AK blade because the fullers aren't there. Maybe a WW II, I don't know?
It should have the old convex edge!:D
A downside is the scrolled buttcap. They can be sharp on the palm and aren't as easy to file down as the flat ones. Getting the scrolled buttcap replaced with the flat ones is probably the best thing Bill has talked the kamis into.:D

I actually like the scrolled butcap. I always thought it was too bad that you cant get them anymore. I guess it just goes to show how different peoples tastes are.

Let's see, a khukuri in good taste vs. a khukuri that cuts good. But Yvsa, it has the RIGHT bolster!!:) :)

By the by, this is the seller's second try. First time, no one met his reserve.

It looks like a military frog with the two loops.. Not sure what all went on at shop one.:)

The seller states it is an HI. I wish he'd listed the weight.

I always thought the old bolsters good lookin too. The question is how they felt on the hand, not if the blade cuts. I'd like a true convex edge. The older ones have that.

I know, munk. It looks good on paper.(moniter) I'd like to try one.... but forking over dough on a maybe? Naaaaah. For my money I'd rather pick up a sure thing. It'd be a nice addition to an HI collection, tho.

It's an HI; it is a sure thing. Lifetime guarentee. And as Yvsa says, the older ones have convex edges. I've learned cutting firewood thats a good thing. The bolster can be dealt with if it hurts the hand.

I just wonder what his reserve price is? But older HI's are occasionally available here from paying members.

I did not know that Sun. I just checked the home page and all it said was lifetime guarentee. I don't have a copy of the paper at home- Bill rarely shipped me such a thing- I having no need of it.

That it does!!!!:D

If his reserve isn't outta sight and he isn't tryin to stiff someone it would be an excellent buy.
The lifetime guarantee doesn't matter on one like this that's been in the field. It's already proven.:D

I liked the look on this one which appears to be an older verions of the 16.5" WW2. I put in a bid but didn't meet the reserve. I think this guy us looking for a lot of money. Let's say a new one would be cheaper. We should know shortly.
