that's gonna be a special piece for someone...looks like the kami hit it right

Thank you for givining a nice home for HI Parang, warty

what I don't get is how there was recently a thread asking for this blade to return and no one jumped on this when it was posted... I was able to sleep all day on Saturday and not sign in until late Sunday and I was still the person to get this one. Not being here on Saturday, I have to wonder if ANYONE was here or if all the folks saying they wanted this blade were just talking and not serious?

Warty,
I think the price threw off alot of people off, I would personally like to see one in wood rather than horn, but also have to have the funds to pull it off. So if I was to make a statement that I want one and it comes up when im broke it would have to go to another.

Price... yeah, we all want them to be free, no doubt about it but the kamis have to eat and so does Yangdu and all the rest of the folks along the production line. The sarki has a family to support just like some of you all do and there is also the fact that this has already been shipped to the USA from Nepal, which is not free either. A lot of the other places selling these things sell for less but then you have to pay for the shipping from Nepal and suddenly you don't have such a great deal any longer. Also, you get what you pay for fast because it is here and not there, I never wait more than 4 days for my stuff to come in from Reno. My guess is it takes a bit longer to come from Nepal to Indiana but this is a guess since I haven't done business there ever.

I agree though, a wood version would be nice too. I am a fan of horn so I like this one but I know wood has a real following here so maybe if another was made in wood it might sell faster, who knows. If there is a wooden one made, I am hoping the price remains the same though as I feel it is a fair one.

Not arguing the price, just trying to answer a question. I am also aware of how the kamis and everyone has to support there lives. I have been here on this forum quite a while now. But a ranting response back is uncalled for, which is probably why I was the first to respond a few hours after you posted.

You weren't arguing the price? Hmm, then my mistake, seemed like that was your first issue.

It was a rant only if you took it as one, I felt no anger typing it nor was it more than a defense of the prices charged.
I do tire though of people projecting their problems onto what they see in me though...

I was not arguing the price, merely trying to give a possible answer as to why people did not jump on it right away. As I said, I would like to see it in wood over horn, and if my funds were there I would get it. To me it seemed like a rant, and im not projecting anything twords you, just making an observation, if you take it personal I cant change that. Im done with this post now, as im tired of it.

you took it as a rant... it was not posted as one.

In the end though, I was only trying to point out that the prices are what they are because of the people involved in making the knives.
Nothing more and I was hardly raving nor ranting. I merely stated all the folks in the long line who need paying.

I am sorry if it hurt your feelings.

I've read it several times.
Even if it wasnt exactly a rant, it wasnt exactly called for.
Sales over. Thread closed.
