HI Picture Thread for Custom-Finish Blades

Hello Fellow Forumites,

Recently there were beautiful pics of custom finish 'bits and ASTKs and some discussion of the process which peaked my interesest in what people do to their blades to customize their standard mirror finish or villager finish.

So if you have pictures of your blued khuk or even just an etched blade that looks cool, could you please reply to this thread with a pic. Please also add info on how the process worked (what product you used, how many coats it took and what you used to apply it, any other advice based on your experience, etc.)

AK bowie blued with Birchwood Casey Superblue. About 3 coats.

00 synthetic steel wool pads are about the best thing I have found for maintaining a khukuri finish. Not as harsh as a scotchbrite pad but not quite mirror polish either.
