If I’m not mistaken; all this while up to the last day of 1999 we have seen & own beautiful genuine made in Nepal HI Khukuris with 3 types of Cho ie. Kowdi Cho, Pariwa Ki Aka Cho & Unique Salyan Cho. Suddenly when the curtain of year 2000 was open we can see & own HI Khukuris with newly introduced Chos. It seems HI Kamis has broke the old style Cho tradition. Now, I personally love to see HI Khukuris which has a special Cho which symbolized HI and at the same time could reflect it as an HI quality mark!

I guess it will be possible to cut the Cho with the shape of a small Romanize letter “h” which stand for Himalayan Imports. What do say about this 2c idea Pakcik Bill?

Funny how the mind works...or doesn't work.

Good line, Tom. They don't all call it cho -- each man, including kamis and Gorkhalis, will have thier own name for it. Pala, for example, swears by "surya ra chandra."

What is the significance of the cho on a khukuri? I've noticed different chos on different khukuris but I don't think I've heard anyone mention what the significance/tradition/"marking"/etc. is.

Just curious.
