After the unrest of several weeks ago, we set up
shop rules and regulations to avoid any more unrest
among our Kamis.

Kami Bhakta did not agree with the shop rules and he
left the shop on good terms with my father. The rest
of the Kamis are back to doing great work.

In order to avoid the mistakes with the quality of a Knife, every knife will be tested thoroughly before
they are shipped to the US. The Kamis will test all blades
by chopping logs with them before shipping to us.

I received a box of knives recently and they all passed the
field tests. They will serve you all very well.

Glad to hear it. Thank you for your hard work also. God bless the Kami's and their familys. Both Past, Presant and Future!

Glad everything has been worked out, Auntie. Sorry to hear that Bhakta left; he was one of my favorite bladesmiths (especially his AK/CAK models)...hopefully he will return in the future. Best wishes for continued success in your business!

I have to say that I am most impressed with Himalayan Imports and how Yangdu runs the business. I realize that none of this will be news to any longtime members here but I wanted to come out and say it for the benefit of newer or more recent members who may not yet have actually dealt with Himalayan Imports.

It is refreshing to work with a business that actually listens to their customers and also treats people respectfully. Yangdu goes the extra mile and does far more than necessary to take care of any issues that might arise. The commitment to quality and doing right by the customer is most laudable. If more businesses were run in the manner of Himalayan Imports that would make the business world a much better place. The sense of community built-up around Himalayan Imports is wonderful and truly amazing. It feels good to know that buying these products helps to make a difference for the families of the hard working Kamis. My only regret is that I did not come to know about Himalayan Imports a long time ago when I might have had the chance to get to know Uncle Bill.

Kami Bhakta will be missed. Hopefully he will return at some future date.

Thank you Yangdu for providing truly wonderful useful products with a caring attitude and making us all feel a bit like family.

Setting up a formal QA program with kamis in Nepal is not as easy as it may seem to many of us. There are cultural factors to overcome. The potential rewards, both for HI and for the pride of the kamis in their product, is great. If anyone can pull this off it's Kami Sherpa and Yangdu.

Thank you all for warm welcome to new our kami Anil
