Hiya folks,

I'm interested in getting a 12" Sirupati from HI. Has anyone got the size (close approximate!) of that model's handle? I'm a bit cautious about getting it - if the handle is just a bit too small for - my slightly larger than average hands. I know I could of course just simply go for the 15" model, but that might be just a bit too long for my specialized requirements. Any info would be most appreciated - many thanks!

Welcome, Seaeagle:)

The handle length is going to vary from blade to blade. I have seen 12" khuks with stubby grips (usually a true village model made for the Nepali mitt size) all the way up to 5". You're best bet would be to email Yangdu and see what she has in stock. She certainly won't mind throwing a tape across the grip to see what it measures:)

No problem:) I like the 12" Siru. I have about 3 of them, I think. They're a handy size for a lot things. Actually, back when my wife and I were in college about a decade ago, the campus was having a rash of incidents where a strange man was approaching women in the outer parking lots while they entered and exited their cars. I lashed 12" Siru to the driver's door lower pocket for a fast draw in case anyone ever approached her.

Now, three cars later, that same 12" Siru sits clipped to the pocket of her Fusion just-in-case:)

I have 12 inch Sorupati in stock.
Welcome to the HI and forum, seaeagle
