HI Sparth Axe?

What about an HI Sparth Axe? It's my favorite battle-axe design, and probably do-able from a piece of truck spring. That's the one thing missing in the HI catalog, Pole Arms. Sure they would cost more to ship, but they sure would be pretty. See link if you don't know what a Sparth axe is.

If yall don,t ship the pole the head would be quite reasonable . As long as the pole isn,t too "shaped " I,d betcha it wouldn,t be too hard to shape one up . Of course there are going to be more logistics involved than that .
 
Try doing a search on the HI Banchero axe... there's some discussion there which is very, very relevant to this topic. Long story short - standardizing the size of the hole was very difficult and since few people are willing to size and fit their own pole, it only worked as a very special order.

Oh well, It would have been neat. It is a very good design from what I know of axes.

Well if you can get enough interest and prepayments, it might be possible - who knows? Ask Yangdu.

It probably won't ever become a regular production model, though.
 
I'd say no on the axe. Consistent size and shape of the hole was problematic. For once, just not worth the trouble for everyone involved.

Draw a picture and send it to Yangdu. She mentioned to me recently there is some kind of axe/hatchet thingie coming soon....
