I have seen HI's special runs and especially like the seax, and falcata. I was wonderig where you purchase those because I have looked around but couldn't find where they are sold.

Usually you'll only see the special items posted one one of Ms Yangdu's Deal of the Day posts.

OR you could just email her and inquire if she happens to have on hand what you are looking for. You might be surprised.

Another option is to order the specific model you are after. The model I am aware she has said that will not be ever made again is the Bhariab Khukuri but there well could be others such as some of the swords HI has released which will never be made.

Just email Yangdu and ask. In my experiences she has said 'yes' and given an idea as to what the wait time will be. But I do not know what the requirements concerning payment are as I decided to wait for the items to go back into 'regular' production or got distracted and purchased a newer offering instead.

I don't think the Falcata ewill be made again, either, don't know if it's available on special order, though.

Like the others said, it's best to email Yangdu and ask her. Sometimes these things are listed, and never sell and she'll still have them and be glad to get rid of them.

The seax definitely seems popular though.

I'd love to have a 20" version. Oh yes indeedy.

I think I'll hold off on buying the falcata. Is that the only size of the seax and what is the shipping cost?

In my experience, all HI prices include shipping. If one of the longer-in-the-tooth members could confirm or deny, this pup would be grateful.

Does the seax have any practical uses because I am not sure if it will. Also, Yangdu do you have another seax for sale? Do you have Fox Folly khukris for sale and what is the sizes and price?

It makes a pretty good camp knife.

It's small by khukuri standards, but it's a got a blade length similar to a good sized bowie.

Mine was made by Kami Dil.
It's exact measurements are:

Overall length - 14.5"
Blade length - - 9.5"

(Remember all measurements you are given at H.I. are approximate, as they are all hand-made items and no two are ever exactly the same. In my experience they tend to be anywhere from 1/4 to 3/4" longer than the given measurement, which is a good thing IMO)

So really it's the "bowie knife" of iron age europe in a way.

There's no reason it couldn't fill the niche a bowie usually holds, if that's your thing. I really like mine.

I still want a 20" one. That would be one kinky seax. Dig it.

If its a lot like a bowie I am not sure I will get it because I have a 14.25 in ka-bar heavy bowie. Do you have an opinion on the Fox Folly Khukri? I am deciding whether I should get the WWII or the Fox Folly Khukri.

The WWII will be the easiest of the two to get as it is a regular production Khukuri. It comes in two lengths and weights, 16.5inches/24ounces and 18 inches/32ounces. Pick which suits your requirements the best.

The Foxy Folly in 17inch/24ounce form is judged by many forum experts as the best and most beautiful mid sized chopper HI has ever made. Good luck trying to buy one second hand as they were made in limited numbers and most folks who originally purchased them have keep them.

New versions of the FF will no doubt be released but whether they mirror the original in specifications will be a matter of waiting and seeing.

The fox folly was calling my name from when I first saw it but I suspected it would be hard to get. Are there any 17in/24oz Fox Folly Khukris for sale?

Oh i would very much love a Foxy Folly DMH1112, have an M43, love it, but the Foxy Folly, is a very eye catching blade, so is the seax, and the Chitlangi Bowie, that thing looks so sweet.
