Has there ever been a brochure or pamphlet produced telling the Himalayan Imports story of how and why it was created?
In telling people about the knives and how they are made and why HI was started, it seems a visual aid would help a great deal.
I suppose I could copy some from the website (with Yangdu's permission) and use that, was just wondering if it may have been done before.

Thanks, Dick

I thought Uncle Bill mentioned a magazine piece...have to wait for someone with a better memory to wander in I'm afraid...

Great idea! Your problem is not being short of great material for your brochure; rather, distribution to the right 'target audience'.

There was an article on Himalayan Imports in Blade magazine with pictures of a Nepali kami forging a blade 5-6(?) years back. That story stuck in my mind as it was what got me started on HI.

I'll hunt for the issue as soon as I get off work.

Update: There is a short article on kami Nara Bahadur forging a khukuri written by Uncle Bill in the May 1995 issue of Blade, but this must be before HI's own shop was built. The full story of how Himalayan Imports came to be is probably better told on the web site, although not all in once convenient place.

It would make great reading, if such a story was ever told in print. More than that, it deserves to be told.
