Here are some pics of the Tarwar that was posted on DOTDS recently. It is:

Overall length --28.5''
Handle -- 8"
Weight --47 oz
Spine thickness --3/8''
Brass guard, bolster, buttcap and tip
Satisal wood handle

It is actually very well balanced, a little heavy for one handed use, but with a two handed grip, it is very fast, way faster than a longsword, and actually, to my surprise, much easier to control and manuever.

The subtle drop in the handle actually helps to align your hands in the two handed grip in such a way, that the blade feels "alive" in your hand, wierd, but ingenius! These kamis know their steel, and how to integrate all aspects of the product into the most useful, and controllable large/thick sword I own.

Enjoy the pics:

These are Auntie's pics:

Auntie had also generously, and thoughtfully, also sent a birthday gift. This holds special meaning to me, I had purchased a Padam knife when it was first offered. After I had received it, and handled it, I wanted another one to make a "set", so that I could practice some double dagger forms. Auntie either can read my thoughts, or she reads all of our posts, and keeps all that information somehow, and utilizes it accordingly, whenever appropiate. The scabbard is really neat, it has the top hide texture, and I love the pattern.

I LOVE this thoughtful gift from Auntie, and it will be long treasured.

HI is the best company in the world, bar none. If all businesses operated like HI, the world would be better place!

Thanks Auntie!

cul4u01 Impressive, what will you do with the Padam knife! how the prevent any rust in hot and high humidity climate area.

I will be practicing some choy li fut double dagger forms, and I just use WD-40 to oil the blades before storing. I really don't have a problem with rust in my storage area. Any rust I do get, which is rare, I use Flitz to remove.

Great suggestion for using Flitz as I apply for the Autosol or maintain it after heavily use it!
