Does any company make a one hand opening slipjoint with modern materals? This would make a great gentlemans knife and be legal to cary everywhere, depending on blade size.

Your best bet is Queen cutlery. Recently, Queen has ressurected several old brands like Robeson,Schatt & Morgan, Wire Tested. All of these knives come with ATS-34 blades. The new knives under the Queen name come with ATS-34 blades too. The fit and finish on Queen knives, IMHO is the best of all the old line manufacturers, and their prices are very reasonable. I recently picked up a Robeson/Queen teardrop jackknife for about $60. The knife has a great backspring and an overall excellent finish. I think they compare very favorably to much more limited production knives like Whitewing, and are far better deals than the Case Tony Bose knives which use ATS-34.

I'm with you on those Queens, Tony.....but you better grab up those "99 and 2000 series knives if you want ATS-34. They're going quick.

Anyone have an online link where I can check out some of the resurected Queen brands? Or a snail mail address where I can request a catalog?
