Hi to Uncle Bill, Dan K, Rusty, Yvsa, Big Bob
sorry I took so long to get back with you. We've had a bad weather front in and power outages. Now we're having zero degrees windchills and snow - in North GA, figure the odds! At least it gave a chance to do some arctic testing with my khukuri. It cuts like a lightsabre! The handle was extremely comfortable with and without gloves. When I got up this morning I had to do several jobs with it. Break the ice on the chickens and goats waterpails, cut some heavy, frozen oak limbs, split up some 2 inch thick cedar limbs for kindling and cut a path through some thick, frozen briars. It seems to be the perfect knife/tool for a small farm. It's also a very good weapon. This area is full of big, mangey, mean dogs - and a lot can happen when you're 10 acres away from the house! The WWII 18 inch is 18 1/4 long with a 6 inch handle. It's a 1/2 thick blade and weighs 2 pds. The sheath karda and chakma
weigh 13 oz. Also both are completely functional and the chakma easily burnishes the khukuri to razor sharpness. The karda is 6 1/4 inches long, the chakma 5 1/8. I like the brass tip on the scabbard, it protects the sheath when you crouch down from damage.
Dan K, you're right, I really need to get hot on this computer thing! Yvsa, I'm thinking about the Millennium special. Again, thanks to everybody for such a pleasant welcome! P.S. some of my friends already want to buy a khukuri!

Con the Millinnieum Special is a really nice khukuri. It's one of my favorites when an extra long reach is needed like when cuttin' those pesky briars in the summer.
