Hi Their Folks!old Kukris!

Hi spiraltwista,

Welcome to the cantina!

There was some dicussion a while back about laha and I think Uncle Bill said he would see about picking up some of the commercial product the next time over.

Instead of laha you might want to try cutler's cement as described in these threads:

By the way, the use of all upper case letters is the internet equivalent of shouting.
HI khukuris can make you want to do that though.:D

spiraltwista,

Welcome to the forums.

It is alway better to discuss the knives before attempting to repair them. If these are indeed 19th century khukuries they can have significant collector value (not to mention historical value) which would be reduced or destroyed by the effort to repair them.

Please post some pictures.

;) I know that feeling all too well.

n2s is absolutely correct. Let's see some pics, please.

You come to the right place for information. There are some gents on this forum that are pretty versed on the history of the Khuks. Uncle Bill is kind of like a walking encyclopedia on Khuks. I hope you enjoy this forum as much as I do. :)
