Uncle Bill,
I have an unused 20" chiruwa surupati (by Kessar, I believe), that's just a bit too heavy for me. There are a few scratches on the Chakma (from trying to strike a flint), but otherwise its just as came. I'm considering a Kobra in the same length, so I wondered if you have a trade-in policy, or if I can post it here for sale/trade.

and I'm might be interested in a Kesar Sirupati. :)
I don't have a kesar, but I do like the looks of the ones I've seen pics of.

Yeah, I haven't been around since my work schedule's been changed like 4 or 5 times in the past week, I've put a significant sum of money into other things, and Bella no longer works here. :(

How has everything been going? I just sneeked in today, and saw all the great deals I missed, but I don't feel too bad about missing them as I'm running low on fundage until my next week. :(

Hi Bobwill1,
I won't be able to post pics, but its a fine knife. Just too heavy (and too pretty) for the work I bought it for. It wasn't a blem, so I'm not sure what the market price will be.

Here's my original field review:

The sirupati is a 20” Kesar chiruwa. I bought it thinking it would be a replacement for my field machete. Overall, it’s a bit heavier than I expected, though by no means unwieldy. Maybe I’ll get at 20” standard tang to compare. Overall, 10/10. Blade finish is excellent. The sword a shiva is deep and … how do I say it? Regular seems to trite. It has the appearance of competence, like something done so often it’s second nature. It’s almost hard to tell that it’s hand done. Kessar is indeed old faithful. The Karda and Chakma are large and fit the hand well. Finish is the same mirror polish as the khuk. Sheath is sturdy and nicely engraved.
